Bustling economy and countless job

By Lynne Goodwill

Business and job opportunities are set to call Caloundra home as the next stage of civil works begin at the Sunshine Coast Industrial Park. As the largest industrial estate on the Sunshine Coast, the park will be the epicenter of opportunity with modern and high-tech businesses like The Country Chef Bakery Co. taking up residence. Constructed on a 215-hectare site, the estate has 73 lots across 78 hectares and is designed to meet the current demand for high-quality industrial land. The start of the next stage marks an exciting milestone for new or existing businesses ready to snap up the last available industrial land in a booming region of the Sunshine Coast. The park is a powerful addition to Caloundra and is the start of the exciting infrastructure needed to fulfill our town’s potential. The Queensland Regional Profiles Resident Profile shows the southern end of the Sunshine Coast will grow from 99,669 in 2021 to 187,065 in 2041. The profile data states the southern coastline of Mooloolah River is becoming increasingly popular and will see six new locals for every resident moving to the northern end of the Sunshine Coast. Caloundra is predicted to be the Sunshine Coast’s largest town with the fastest growth rate of 3.3% per year. The extraordinary growth combined with more infrastructure like the Sunshine Coast Industrial Park will see our town established as having a bustling economy, countless job opportunities, and the characteristics needed for a strong business community. What an exciting time for Caloundra!
